Memphis International Raceway Announces 2017 Race Schedule
Memphis, TN
Share |

Memphis International Raceway (MIR) is pleased to announce the Summit Bracket Racing Series presented by COMP Cams schedule, rules, payouts and more.

As we kick off the 2017 racing season, the Summit Bracket Racing Series presented by COMP Cams will kick off on February 12 with no increase in entry fee and adjusted payout structure to pay further back.

With the rules changes in 2017, MIR will allow double entries, first and second round buy-backs in three classes: Rick's Powder Coating Box; Foster's Towing & Salvage No Box and R. T. Turbines DOT/Street. R. T. Turbines Junior Dragster will offer first and second round buy-backs but single entry only per car.

Returning in 2017 is also the 2nd Hand Power Stock/Super Stock class featuring a $1,000 to win on increased number of dates. 6.0 and 7.0 will be feature during the Memphis Rockin' Radial Series as well as special events throughout the year.

"We are excited about the 2017 season and look forward to a great race to the Championship." said Dominic Blasco, MIR's director of operations. "The racing in 2016 was tight all year and we see no reason it won't be even more intense in 2017. Looking to increase car count and offer more opportunities to build the core of racing - the sportsman program."

The Summit SuperSeries is back in 2017 with the opportunity to participate in the 2017 IHRA Summit World Finals. Eligibility requires a Summit SuperSeries X number and must be valid during all points races for points to be eligible in final standings.

2017 will also feature the opportunity to reserve your pit parking. Reserved pit parking will be sold on a first-come, first-serve basis and is available for $150.00 on the season. On those occasions when you are running late, this eliminates the concern of where to park - reserve it and it's yours at all regularly scheduled points races.
