Southern Big Buck Nationals Returns To No Problem Raceway
Belle Rose, LA
February 8-10, 2018, the Southern Big Buck Nationals presented by Flicker Promotions returns to No Problem Raceway for the sixth year. This year’s main events include two $10ks on the electronics side, and two $3ks on the bottom bulb side. The main events will be headed by the Friday TNT, and all-run Friday $3k. The all-run event keeps top bulb, and bottom bulb separated until 8 cars or less total, and you get to race Friday for FREE when you buy a weekend entry.
“We’re definitely excited to bring this event back to No Problem Raceway. We look forward to it every year.” Cody Pollage said. Pollage, co-promoter of the Southern Big Buck Nationals, along with partner Johnny Ezell are expecting a huge turnout this year.
Pollage said, “Last year we were plagued to weather, and had to re-schedule, but if we get three great days of weather, it’s going to be really good. I’ve gotten calls from all over the Midwest, South Central region, and the East Coast for this event. It’s really one of the best weeks of the year for me. It’s early in the year, and I get to see all my friends and racing family.”
Not only do they have the main events, but Friday there is also a Test-N-Tune. On Thursday night there is a practice tree race. “We open the gates here on Thursday, and the practice tree race, is just for everybody to come together, relax, and have a little fun before we get into the weekend.” Stated Cody.
On Saturday night there will be a 64-car shootout for Box with the winner getting $10k, and a 32-car No Box Shootout with the winner getting $2500. On Friday, and Saturday night, there is a Racer Appreciation Dinner. “This is just a way for us to give back to the racers. Without them, none of this is possible. This is just a small way of us saying Thank You, and showing some hospitality.” Pollage continued.
If anybody has any questions about the event, you can contact Cody at 225-776-6818. No Problem Raceway is located in Belle Rose, LA. The 6th Annual Southern Big Buck Nationals will be February 8-10.
