The DragRaceResults.com staff has agreed to cover the building and assembly process of the new Chrome-Worx Performance Products American Race Cars Top Dragster machine, driven by John Parkes. The following is the third installment of the build-up process.

In this installment, we’ll focus on the K&R Performance Engineering components that we’ll depend on to not only make assembly and installation a breeze, but to control the operating systems of the new Chrome-Worx Dragster throughout the race season. Keep in mind, any of the chrome components and accessories seen and described below can be purchased through Chrome-Worx Performance Products.

The Chrome-Worx Top Dragster machine features K&R Performance Engineering’s Switch Panel Wiring Kit, which makes wiring a lot less of a headache. The included fuse panel shown here houses all of the fuses and relay circuits for the operating systems, which eliminates the need to wire additional relays and fuses to for the main accessories (Fuel Pump, Water Pump, Cooling Fan, Electric shifter, etc.).

Here is the back side of the dash, housing Auto Meter Gauges, a custom Chrome K&R Pro-Cube Delay Box, and K&R Performance Engineering Switch Panel. The K&R system is really user friendly when wiring a dragster, as it’s got output terminals for everything in the dash right on the back of the switch panel, which eliminates a bunch of extra wiring.

The guys at K&R recommend that we loop each of the wires coming into the fuse panel to prevent them from pulling out over time due to vibration. Seeing as we’re planning on giving our new Top Dragster machine a healthy does of Nitrous Oxide at the IHRA National Events, we figured we’d better heed their advice!

Here, you can get a close look at the custom fabricated rear housing that American Race Cars uses in each of their Patriot Series Swing Arm Machines.

The K&R Switch Panel Kit makes for a clean, easy installation and worry-free operation, as shown here on the new Chrome-Worx Top Dragster machine.

Stay tuned to DragRaceResults.com as we continue this project. In the next addition, we’ll start bolting our extensive list of chrome components and accessories, each of which are available thru Chrome-Worx Performance Products. The DragRaceResults.com staff has agreed to cover the building and assembly process of the new Chrome-Worx Performance Products American Race Cars Top Dragster machine, driven by John Parkes. The following is the second installment of the build-up process.

Last week, we showed you the base American Race Cars Chassis that will be the foundation for the new Chrome-Worx Top Dragster machine, as well as several of the products and accessories that will be used to complete the vehicle. The assembly process is now started, as we have begun installing several components and wiring the new machine.

The new Chrome-Worx Performance Products Top Dragster features Auto Meters line of precision Carbon Fiber gauges. As seen here, the dash is also outfitted with K&R Performance Engineering’s new switch panel and the accompanied wiring kit, which will make our wiring job simpler and cleaner.

Here is the start to the wiring process. John Parkes and the staff at Chrome-Worx are assembling the entire project in-house, and understand that proper wiring is a tedious but necessary task.

Driver John Parkes will monitor the operating systems of the new Chrome-Worx Performance Products Top Dragster with these carbon fiber gauges from Auto Meter. In addition to the standard tachometer, we’ve installed gauges for oil pressure, water temperature, voltage, fuel pressure, nitrous pressure, and vacuum.

The body is back from the professionals at Randy’s Customs in Stanton, MI. In our ongoing effort to assemble one of the nicest, cleanest machines at the race track, we had the graphics painted on both sides of the body panels.

Shown Here is the single AFCO shock and spring setup utilized in the unique Swing-Arm Monoshock design of the American Race Cars Patriot Series dragster.

The following is the first installment of the build-up process.

Chrome-Worx Performance Products has purchased a new American Race Cars Patriot Dragster to be driven by John Parkes in IHRA and NHRA Top Dragster, as well as big dollar bracket events throughout the country. The immaculate machine, which will feature nearly the complete line of Chrome-Worx triple-plated chrome components and accessories is set to debut at the Tenn-Tuck event at Beech Bend Raceway Park in mid-March.

GOS Motorsports and Graphics provided this rendering, which offers a glimpse of the machine in race trim. Paint is being applied by Randy Jensen at Randy’s Customs in Stanton, MI.

Parkes picked up his new dragster at American Race Cars last month as a bare chassis shown here.

As you would expect, Parkes’ machine will feature nearly every component that Chrome-Worx Performance Products offers in quality triple-plated chrome finish. Featured products available from Chrome-Worx today include Dynatech Headers and the complete line of CSR Performance Products.

Among other slick ideas from American Race Cars comes this unique pedal assembly, which incorporates a positive brake pedal stop (to eliminate any chance of over-centering the pedal), a positive throttle pedal stop and wide-open switch, and throttle cable bracket, all on an adjustable assembly to fit any size driver. The Ignition tray houses K&R Performance Engineering’s switch panel and wiring kit, which will save a lot of time and trouble as the car moves through the wiring and assembly process.

The Chrome-Worx backed machine will feature Hoosier Racing Tires from Ronnie Maggart of Maggart’s Auto, wrapped around American Racing Wheels by Chrome-Worx.

Stay tuned to DragRaceResults.com for a series of releases as Project Chrome-Worx Top Dragster continues!
