Midstate Dragway Joins IHRA Family Of Race Tracks
Feld Motor Sports and the International Hot Rod Association are proud to announce that Midstate Dragway in Havana, Ill., has signed a multiyear sanctioning agreement with the IHRA with plans to incorporate the SummitSuper Series into their strong weekly racing program.
Midstate has long been a facility known for working directly with the area racers to fit their needs, and owner Jacklyn Still is excited to offer such a racer friendly program to the area.
The 1/8 mile racing facility prides itself on the progress it makes in safety and surface. It has been continuously run since 1969 and operates from April through October.
“We pride ourselves on being fair and offering open communication to our racers,” Still said. “Those new to Midstate will see our efforts to keep the track feeling like a park, and the racers like a big family.”
With the addition of Midstate, the IHRA has now added over dozen new facilities to its roster over the past few months with more additions on the horizon.
