Ultimate 64 Shootout Comes To Edgewater Sprots Park This Weekend
The 6th annual American Race Cars Ultimate 64 Shootout presented by JEGS makes its way to Edgewater Sports Park in Cleves, OH this weekend, June 10-12. In addition to an immense purse of over $200,000, the event features a myriad of fun-filled events and activities. The following is a breakdown of what to expect on a daily basis from this years Ultimate 64 Shootout.
Wednesday, June 8:
Gates open for parking at noon on Wednesday.
Thursday, June 9:
The on-track portion of the weekend doesn't begin until Friday, but Thursday's pre-race festivities offer fun for all. The weekend kicks off with the annual Ultimate 64 golf outing Thursday morning. Thursday night, event promoters will host the annual Texas Hold-Em Poker tournament and a cornhole tournament at the race track. Thursday night will also feature the annual "Get Acquainted" Party with a live band under the pavilion at the track.
Friday, June 10:
Racing action gets underway Friday with a host of great events. The first of three daily events (open to all competitors) kicks off Friday, with the Estes Oil Company Big Bucks Race. This event features a daily winners purse of $10,000, with payback to the eighth-finalists. Once that event is concluded, the SRS Manufacturing Little Bucks event will follow. That race pays $2,000 to the winner, with payback also reaching the eighth-finalists. In addition to the daily races, Friday will also feature the USA DragRacingChat.com Hi-Roller Event. This event is a 64-car shootout, $500 entry, paying $12,000 to the winner. The Friday Hi-Roller event is a pre-entry shootout, and currently still has a handful of spots available. Friday night will conclude with the annual Racers Appreciation party and cookout brought to you by Instant Karma Racing and will once again feature live entertainment beneath the Edgewater Sports Park pavilion.
Saturday, June 11:
Saturday brings a full day of action to the Edgewater Sports Park 1/8th mile including the $50,000-to-win Ultimate 64 Main Event. That pre-entry event features 64 of the best sportsman racers in the nation as they vie for the $50,000 top prize. The elite event is sold out, as Saturday weâ€™ll see if past champions Steve Royalty, Rob Kropfeld, John Cook, Jr., Jason Lynch, or Brian Newport can become the events first repeat winner; or if a new Ultimate 64 champion will be crowned.
In addition to the Ultimate 64 Main Event, Saturday will also feature the daily Estes Oil Company Big Bucks and SRS Manufacturing Little Bucks events (open to all competitors). As if that werenâ€™t enough, Luke Bogacki Race Services and American Race Cars will also host a 32-car Dragster Dash in which the winner receives a new 2011 American Race Cars Dragster Chassis. Entry for the Dragster Dash is $500, with payback to the semi-finalists. The pre-entry deadline for the Dragster Dash has been extended to Tuesday night, June 7. At that point, a raffle will be held amongst all pre-entrants for a complete refund (the winner is in the race for FREE!) Once the racing action concludes Saturday, the event will shut down with the always enjoyable Ultimate 64 Golf Cart race.
Sunday, June 12:
The Ultimate 64 Shootout will conclude with the third and final segmentsof the daily Estes Oil Company Big Bucks and SRS Manufacturing Little Bucks events. In addition, Sunday will bring a pair of Ultimate 32 Shootouts, with the DSI High Performance Trailer Cleaner 32 car shootout and the Williams Paving 32-car shootout. Both events pay $5,000 to the winner.
