ihra motorsportsMid Michigan Motorplex will return to IHRA Sanctioning in 2018. We believe this will put some excitement back into our weekly bracket program. With IHRA focusing on the bracket program & The Summit Super Series with the year end Champions running for $20,000 in Memphis we believe this is in the best interest for our racers.

Another advantage for our racers will be the bracket finals being held 90 miles from us at US 131 Motorsports Park.  Along with the opportunity for our Junior Dragster competitors to be part of the team at the bracket finals is important to us. Junior competitors will also be part of the season ending runoff at Memphis with $3000 going to the winner.

These changes along with our strong year end points fund for Box & No Box classes with the support of American Race cars ($8000 certificate towards a new car) for Box & Doorslammers Chassisfab ($1000 cashbonus) for No Box.

Track resurfacing was completed late in the fall of 2017.

The concrete starting line was ground & polished along with new pavement from the end of the concrete through the ¼ mile finish line. The shutdown area past the 1st turnoff has also been repaved, including the return road all the way back past the et building to the main entrance road. Drain tile has also been installed under the new roads to improve water runoff.

Lastly is the changing of the double entry rules for the 25th Annual Todd’s Extreme Paint World Super Pro Challenge & The No Box Money Maker Series. New for 2018 we will allow entries to double the same car driver combination, 2 entries max per driver & per car. This should level the playing field between the racers with multiple cars & the single car teams.

We are looking forward to a Great 2018 season!
