After an iffy forecast, CP Promotions completed all 3 days and raced the whole weekend. Cody Pollage thanked the crew at State Capitol Raceway for busting their tail all weekend. Special thanks goes out to his extended crew: Frank Kohutek, Jennifer Johnson, Joel Boyd, and Ryan Gleghorn. Special thanks also goes out to R&M Trailers, and Cargo Mate for their continued support of our 2021 season.
Friday’s action kicked off with 1 time trial with everybody being doubled for the weekend. In No Box, at three cars, Stuart Olinde was sitting on the bye, and also had to run Roger Marcombe. Roger turned it red, which allowed Stuart to capture winner and runner up honors. In Box, we got down to three cars, when the rains hit us. David Hammons, Tommy Castanedo, and Brittany Ezell LeJeune was the last three cars remaining.
The rains came in overnight Friday, and into the early Saturday AM hours. Track was dried, re-prepped, and we went racing. In No Box on Saturday, Robby Mullins defeated Wyatt Sproles in the main event final round. In Box, Wayne Henry, defeated Cole Cummings.
The shootouts Saturday night, saw Jesse Marceaux picking up the win over Slate Cummings in the finals in Box, and Rodney Aulds picking up the win over Robby Mullins in No Box.
On Sunday, David Nicholson took the final round win over David Hammons (by the way Hammons was footbraking on the top all weekend). In No Box, Roger Marcomb, who had to run himself in the semi-final, defeated Kayden Hayman.
We would like to thank everybody that came out this weekend, and trusted us to get all 3 days in with the forecast the way it was. We appreciate.
