Jeffrey Walls - "A huge thank you to all the racers, crew members, track staff, and Verge staff this weekend at Beech Bend Raceway Park. We had an incredible and really competitive race. With all your hard work, we got the program done late Saturday night despite the few hours lost to lightning and rain."
#2 Qualifier Ryan Gibson defeated Ron Barnhill in the GTech Cleaners & Degreasers 4.70 finals for his first Verge Motorsports victory.
Meanwhile, both Brian Jones and Cody Wiggins thrashed to be ready for the weekend and managed to meet in the finals of Outlaw Trailers 4.50. Brian got the closest we've seen yet to the XS Power Batteries $25K perfect run by putting up a 4.500 in the final round, but didn't have the reaction to go with it. That's the effort it would take to win some rounds this weekend with 19 of 50 dragsters going 4.50* in qualifying.
