Mother Nature played fair for a change and let the Wilkesboro Dragway racers do what they do best, wow the fans with speed and exciting close finishes!

 

 

In an all bowtie Top ET final, the Camaro's of former WD Champion Clyde McKinney and Tim Mathis took to the line. Regaining his championship form McKinney took home the win.
 

In Modified ET, John Taylor had been plagued with problems but got them worked out to meet up with Doug Smith and his classic Mopar in the final round. Taylor tried but the Mopar power prevailed for Smith giving him the victory.

 

Other winners from the weekend included Landon Stahl in Street ET Danny Phillips in the 4.90 Class and Daniel Clark in Jr. Dragster.
 

Coming this week to Wilkesboro Dragway our ever popular Thursday night Test N Tune. For only $10 you can watch or you can see if you have what it takes to be a racer and take your car down the famed Wilkesboro strip. Gates will open at 5:30 pm.
